Congratulations to the 03 Premier Boys who came in 1st in the U7 Maricopa Open League Division. The boys trained hard with coach Ted Robertson at the Arsenal Academy and the results proved out that hard work can lead to success. Take a good look at the future of the club. Well done boys!
U12 girls 98 Classic girls took second in the Ostrich Festival Tournament this past weekend. Out of 6 tournaments entered this year, they have either placed first or second in 4 of them. One more to go.
96 Premier Girls are the 2010 Anaheim Spring Cup VII Champions
Congratulations to the 96 Premier Girls who were crowned Champions at the 2010 Anaheim Spring Cup Tournament, March 13-14th, 2010 in California, beating the Santa Clarita United team 4-2. This is the third tournament 1st place this season for the 96 Premier Girls, also champions of the TSA Tournament in December 2009 and the Arsenal Challenge in February 2010. Way to go ladies!
Our '01 Premier Girls took the Championship playing up in the '00 Age Division of the Desert Classic over the weekend. They went unbeaten in the event (4-0) and won the championship against Real Soccer Fury of Colorado.
The 2010 Tucson Association of Realtors Shootout Soccer Tournament saw teams from all over Arizona, Texas, New Mexico and California. Arsenal sent 5 of its teams to compete. Managers and coaches all had a great time and brought home some "hardware" to boot.
The 98 Classic Girls did amazing in the Fort Lowell Tournament this weekend in Tucson. They scored a total of 19 goals and were undefeated champions. They also won first in the Olympics for Shooting Accuracy, Abby Starkey won 2nd in Juggling and the team won 1st for best hat and scarf.
The Arsenal 01 Select Girls won the gold bracket of the Fort Lowell Shootout over the weekend. They scored ten goals and allowed none throughout the competition. They also did very well in the soccer olympic’s competition bringing home ten medals by finishing second in the team dribbling relay, second in the juggling contest, and winning the pk shootout competition.
The Arsenal 96 Select Girls came home as Champions of the U14 Female Silver division. With a combined 10 goals for and only 2 goals against, the defense formed a solid foundation for the team to build on. Coach Matt Davis named Alexa Petillo as Championship Match co-MVP and Victoria Dunigan as team MVP of the tournament.
